Bob Marley and the Wailers Zimbabwe Independance Festival April 19th, 1980 Salisburg, Zimbabwe Source: SBD>?>DAT>Delta DiO 2496>Soundforge 4.5>CDWAV>SHN --------------------- 01: Natural Mystic 03:59 02: Rastaman Vibration 05:16 03: Roots Rock Reggae 05:09 04: Lively Up Yourself 05:36 05: Zimbabwe* 03:43 06: Running Away 06:16 07: Get Up, Stand Up 05:33 08: Exodus 07:59 *Static heard throughout the show is in fact fireworks, as this is an independance festival :-) They are most noticable during this song, but apear throughout the show. Sidenote on the events of the day: Bob Marley and the Wailers' first performance in Zimbabwe was marred by tear gas and chaos, yet Marley returned to the stage to perform "Zimbabwe" and prevailed the next day, as over 100,000 people gathered for the second show on April 19, 1980. **This show was labeled 4-18-80 when I recieved it, but after doing some research Zimbabwe was played LAST (possibly confirmed by the above information) so this is in fact the show the next day, 4/19/80. For more information on both shows visit http://www.bobmarley.com/life/live/zimbabwe/zimbabwe2.html Another even more useless historical fact: The first official words uttered in Zimbabwe, following the raising of the new nation's flag, were, "Ladies and gentlemen, Bob Marley and The Wailers."
